Modernization and Expansion for a Future-Proof Passenger Handling

To meet increasing demands for capacity, functionality, and security, the passport control hall is being modernized and expanded. This project improves passenger processing, optimizes passenger flows between Schengen and non-Schengen areas, and enhances both the efficiency and long-term viability of Zurich Airport.

Ensuring Operations During Complex Construction Phases

Airport operations must be maintained throughout all construction phases. A particular challenge is the highly frequented location between Dock A and Dock B. This requires precise and forward-looking planning as well as close coordination of numerous interfaces with the existing infrastructure and parallel planned third-party projects.

Dy Project’s Contribution

As Project Manager representing the client for preparatory works, we ensure that the project perimeter is optimally prepared for expansion-related construction and demolition activities, maintaining continuous airport operations. Responsibilities include leading meetings, monitoring costs, schedules, quality and coordinating interfaces between existing and new structures as well as managing the procurement of planners and contractors. As the Project Management Office, Dy Project supports the client-side Lead Project Manager in coordination, organization, quality assurance, and procurement, ensuring the successful execution of the expansion.
