A Sustainable Headquarters with History

The Quai Zurich Campus has been the headquarters of Zurich Insurance Group at Mythenquai in Zurich for over 120 years. It combines carefully restored historic buildings with modern new constructions, creating an open and flexible working environment for employees and clients. The campus features offices, conference rooms, a Heritage Center, gastronomy (including the public Quai Café), meeting areas, and state-of-the-art workspaces that foster collaboration and innovation.

The renovation turned the campus into a flagship project for sustainability: it is certified according to LEED Platinum, MINERGIE, WELL Platinum, and the 2000-Watt Society standards. A large share of its energy comes from renewable sources, including lake water for heating and cooling, photovoltaic systems, and rainwater utilization. The campus stands as a symbol of the connection between tradition, innovation, and sustainability.

Contribution of Laurent Schöni

Laurent directly supported overall project management with PMO services and worked closely with the client’s project team. In addition to his daily PMO responsibilities, he took on internal scheduling, monthly project reporting, and the management of risk processes. He also ensured smooth coordination between planning, reporting, and decision-making processes, making a significant contribution to the successful completion of the campus in a highly complex project environment in 2021.
