Comprehensive Usage Mix and Demanding Tenant Coordination in the Airport Environment
The Circle is a striking architectural complex located within walking distance of the terminals at Zurich Airport. The project comprises a broad range of uses, including hotels, a large convention center, retail and gastronomy spaces, a medical center, modern office areas, and additional service offerings.
The extraordinary scale of the project, combined with its location in the highly technical and heavily frequented airport environment, placed the highest demands on planning, logistics, and project organization. In particular, the close integration of the various uses and the complex tenant coordination required precise alignment of all stakeholders to ensure high-quality realization while maintaining ongoing airport operations.
Contribution of Burim Kryeziu
In the The Circle project, Burim Kryeziu acted in the roles of PMO, Project Manager, and Head of Tenant Coordination, taking on key responsibilities on behalf of the client. He provided comprehensive support to overall project management in organizing, steering, and structuring the project.
Already during the planning phase, he oversaw the technical coordination with tenants and ensured their requirements were integrated into the overall planning at an early stage. During execution, he managed tenant coordination on-site, overseeing more than 40 parallel tenant fit-outs in close alignment with the base build and regulatory authorities.
In addition, he was responsible for project quality management (PQM), overarching cost control, and the coordination of external services. Through these efforts, he made a decisive contribution to the successful and orderly delivery of this highly complex project.
